TheSalaryCalc builds free, straightforward salary, tax and end-of-service calculators for people working across borders — in the Gulf, Southeast Asia and India.
Most people encounter these numbers at the worst possible time to be doing arithmetic: mid-negotiation, right before resigning, or while comparing a job offer against a payslip in a currency they're still getting used to. Our aim is to make that moment simpler — one clear number, built on the actual current law for each country, not a rule of thumb passed around a WhatsApp group.
How we keep the numbers accurate
Every formula on this site is built directly from the relevant labour law, tax code, or government regulation for that country — never estimated or copied from another calculator. Before publishing, each formula is cross-checked against multiple independent sources and, wherever possible, tested against a real worked example with a known correct answer, to confirm the math produces the right figure to the exact currency unit.
Where the law itself is genuinely ambiguous or sources disagree — a resignation-reduction tier, an edge case in an evolving regulation — we say so directly on the page rather than presenting a guess as settled fact. You'll see notes like this throughout the site; they're intentional, not gaps we missed.
Content is reviewed periodically as laws change — wage ceilings, tax brackets, and contribution rates shift, sometimes yearly, sometimes with little notice. Last full review: August 2026.
What we're not
We're not a law firm, an accounting practice, or a government body. These tools are estimates for general guidance, not professional advice. For anything with real money on the line — final settlements, tax filings, contract disputes — always confirm with your employer's HR team, a licensed accountant or lawyer, or the relevant government labour or tax authority directly.
